•Fancher, Judy W., age 72 of Barre, died May 4, 2014 in Strong Memorial Hospital. Judy was born December 4, 1941 in Albion to Layton and Helen (McOmber) Wilson and was a life-long resident of this area. She was a member of Barre Center Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Mrs. Fancher was predeceased by her husband, Lavern in 1999. She is survived by her children, Sandra (Richard) Bastedo of LeRoy, Susan (Mark Engebretson) Fancher of North Carolina, Edward (Christine) Fancher of Albion, Gail (Kevin) Streicher of South Carolina, William (Kelly) Fancher of Wyoming, NY; her brothers, Gary (Doreen) Wilson of Barre, L. Thomas (Debra) Wilson of Barre; her sister, Donna (Wilbur) Schlesinger of North Carolina; sisters-in-law, Frances Landis Fancher, Evelyn Foote; 10 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Service was held May 10 in the Barre Center Presbyterian Church. Interment, Mount Albion Cemetery. Donations can be made to the True Blue Mission Guild of the Barre Center Presbyterian Church or Hospice of Orleans in her memory.
