•Gaesser, Walter G., on July 12, 2014 after a brief illness. He was born in Rochester in 1935. He was an alumni of Aquinas High School and Niagara University. He was a Captain in the Army Reserves. He moved to Kendall/Hamlin area in 1968. He was the owner of Gaesser Tax Services. Past member of the Morton Fire Company and regular sponsor of community sports teams.
He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Shirley M. (Priess) Gaesser. He is survived by seven children, Michael (Kathleen), Edward (Valerie), Mary, James (Rona), Daniel (Sandra), Ronald and Karen (Linda); 22 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; his brothers, Reverend Ronald, David (Ann), Allen and Steven Gaesser. He was the son of and is predeceased by Walter C. and Mildred D. (Ernst) Gaesser.
His Memorial Service and Mass was held July 19 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, Hamlin. Donations can be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Memorial Fund or the Morton Fire Company in his memory.
