•Rice, Timothy D., suddenly at age 33 in Austin, Texas on July 25, 2014. Born in Syracuse, Tim attended Spencerport Schools and Monroe Community College. He served as a Sergeant in the US Army, including three deployments to Iraq with the 5th Special Forces Group, Airborne, out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Survived by parents, Dennis and Donna Rice of Ogden; sister Jessica (Patrick) Cho of West Caldwell, New Jersey; baby niece Natalie; aunt Sandra (Steve) Slattery of Montoursville, Pennsylvania; uncles Peter and Michael McVicar; and the family’s two Golden Retrievers who adored him.
His Memorial Service with military honors was held August 8 at the Funeral Home of Alvah Halloran and Son, Gates.
