William John Brosch
•Brosch, William John, “Billy,” a longtime resident of Gates, died September 2 after a brief illness with his good friends, Justin and Frank at his side. He was born in Rochester on April 9, 1952, son of William J. Brosch, Jr. and June A. (Overton) Brosch. He was educated locally and in St. Petersburg, Florida and graduated from Spencerport High School in 1970. From his youngest years Billy demonstrated a skill and passion for automotives, from working with his dad at his service station and later at Gateway Auto Parts, to his partnership at B & D Total Performance, to his most recent management position at Auto Finishers of Rochester. Survivors include his mother, June A. Brosch of Spencerport; two sisters, Wendy B. Dwyer and Gayla B. Snowdon of New Hampshire; a brother-in-law, John Snowdon of New Hampshire; a niece, Valerie Snowdon; two nephews, Jeffrey M. Dwyer and Christopher J. Snowdon, all of Boston, Massachusetts, and many good and caring friends. Predeceased by his father, William J. Brosch, Jr. (April 23, 2014), and his uncle John “Jack” Brosch.
At Billy’s request, there will be no calling hours or services. Instead, the family requests that his many good friends share with each other their memories of his friendship, skill and generosity.
