Paul Andre´ Setter

•Setter, Paul Andre´, Brockport, age 80, of Murrell’s Inlet, South Carolina, formerly of Brockport, died suddenly, October 30, 2014. Survived by his wife of 57 years Frances (Steward) Setter; four children Kim Setter-Hansen of Tarm Denmark, Karen Rollman (Richard) of Seattle, Richard (Debra) of Easton, Maryland, and Jeffrey (Jennifer) of Brockport; eight grandchildren, Adam, Rebecca, Cooper, Nick, Jake, Haley, Courtney and Andre. Also survived by one sister Kay (Ken) Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota and their children Paula, Sue and Scott (Jill).

He graduated from St. Lawrence University in 1955 and served in the U.S. Navy for two years. He married his sweetheart Frances Steward Setter in 1957. After receiving his master’s in education from Brockport State College he went on to be a teacher, coach and Guidance Counselor at Churchville-Chili Central School for 28 years. Paul was very active in officiating soccer and basketball at the High School and College level. He also was the President of the Rochester Chapter of IAABO. He retired and moved to Myrtle Beach in 1990.

A service was held November 6 in Pawley’s Island, South Carolina. A Celebration of Life Service will be held next summer at the First Presbyterian Church in Brockport.
