•Bomyea, Paul Joseph (PJ), Hamlin, On November 7, 2014, PJ lost his long battle with cancer, passing peacefully at age 30 surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his father Charles Bomyea. He is survived by his mother, Patricia Bomyea; his sisters, Ashley Gilmore and Sondra Bomyea; his brothers, Patrick and Jake Bomyea; his grandfather, Todd (Judy) Funk; his grandmother, Ann (David) Yeaw; and his step mother, Val Bomyea. PJ also leaves his longtime soul mate Andrea Leasure, many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his faithful dogs, Bogey and Zoe. PJ, a 2002 Brockport High School graduate, attended Monroe Community College and the University of Cincinnati. He played hockey from childhood in youth leagues, and finally the men’s league as a member of the Hitmen.
A Celebration of his Life will be held November 30 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Brockport Elks Lodge, 4400 Sweden-Walker Road, Brockport. Donations can be made to the Wilmot Cancer Center in his memory.
