•Schirmer, Mercy L. (Willard), Gates: Beloved mother of Donald (Julie) Schirmer and Deborah Rivers passed away peacefully on 12/21/14, at the age of 97. Predeceased by her husband, Arthur, the love of her life, as well as her brother Robert Willard and sister Jean Schippers. She leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Jason (Stephanie) Rivers, Amanda (Jonathan) Steward and Ryan Schirmer, as well as 9 great-grandchildren.
No prior calling hours. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, Dec. 29th at 10:00 am at St. Jude’s Church, 4100 Lyell Rd., Gates. Burial will be at Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., 14620, or on-line at Alz.org.
