•Logsdon, Esther A., Holley: Esther A. Logsdon, 93, died January 7, 2015. She was born October 10, 1921 in Adelaide PA., a daughter of the late John & Helen Durkat. Esther lived in this area most of her life and was a member of St. Mary R.C. Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and was an avid reader. Esther’s greatest joy in life was caring for and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, James; children, James (Dana), Mary Jo (Dennis) Carpenter, David (Mary), Dr. Gregory (Vicki), Mark (Paul Willink), Kevin (Lisa), Karen (Mike Capan) Logsdon, Loretta (Bill) Andris, Peter (Roberta); 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Cathryn Lynn; 11 nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 16650 State Route 31, Holley, Wednesday 1/14/15 from 6:00-8:00. Esther’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary R.C. Church, Thursday at 10:00am. Interment will be in the spring at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary Church, 9 S. Main St. Holley, NY 14470.
