•Sands, Raymond G., Brockport, On January 23, 2015, at age 91. Predeceased by his wife, Miriam; and son, Timothy Sands. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Sharon Sands; two grandchildren, Thomas (Susan) and Kevin (Lisa) Sands; four great-grandchildren; sister, Eileen Krenzer; several nieces and nephews. Ray served in both the Navy and the Army during WWII, and was a member of the American Legion Post in Churchville. He was Past President of Chili Fire Department, founding member of the Scottsville Rotary Club, Charter Member of the Gates-Chili Rotary Club, and was a Paul Harris Fellow. Ray also was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Oatka Lodge in Scottsville, and Past Commander of Damascus Temple Legion of Honor in 1965, and was a member of the ARABA Shrine Temple in Ft. Myers, Florida.
His Graveside Service was held January 30 at the Mumford Rural Cemetery, Mumford. Contributions can be made to the Shriners Hospital, 2010 Hanson Street, Fort Myers, Florida 33901 in his memory.
