•Ugorek, Barbara J., Albion, age 79 of Ridge Road, died 2/8/2015 in the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center. She was born 7/15/1935 in Buffalo to Francis and Victoria Janus and had lived in this area most of her life.
Barb was a member of Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph’s Church, and for many years she and her husband delivered the Lake Country Pennysaver. She liked to fish, knit, bowl, go on Casino Trips and enjoyed playing casino games on her IPad. Mrs. Ugorek worked for many years at Dales Super Duper, as well as at Fisher Price in Medina and in later years as a greeter at WalMart in Brockport. She and her husband also enjoyed camping. Most of all she enjoyed being a full-time Grandma.
Mrs. Ugorek was predeceased by her brother Herman Janus, her sisters-in-law Frances Ugorek & Margo Janus, and her brother-in-law Stanley Ugorek. She is survived by her husband of 40 years John, her daughter: Elissa (Chad) Weeden of N. Chili, her sisters-in-law Diane Janus, Jeanette Ugorek, Geraldine Janus, Arlene Burlock, her grandchildren: Deven and Trever as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc. 21 West Avenue-Albion, FRIDAY 5-8 pm. Family and friends are invited to attend Barb’s Mass of Christian Burial SATURDAY at 9 am in Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph’s Church. Interment will be in old St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
