Maurice Kleiman
•Kleiman, Maurice, of Glens Falls, formerly of Brockport, NY passed away peacefully in his home on April 4, 2015. Born in Binghamton, NY on February 7, 1926. Maury enlisted in the army at the age of 17 and served with distinction during WWII in the 70th Infantry Division “Trailblazers”. His unit engaged in some of the most intense action of the Alsatian campaign and Maury was awarded a Bronze Star Medal for heroism as well as a Purple Heart combat decoration.
A longtime employee of the State University of New York (SUNY), Maury retired as the Vice President for Administrative Services at SUNY Brockport in 1986.
Maury is predeceased by his first wife Rachel Buff. He is survived by his second wife, Constance; his sister Rita (Joe) Fogel, his son, Gerry and his wife, Helen; daughter, Bonnie; his son Warren and his wife Fran; and 6 grandchildren. There will be a memorial ceremony this coming summer in the Rochester area.
