•Walton, Sandra L. “Sandi”, Hamlin, age 73 formerly of Hamlin Terrace, died 5/20/2015 in Strong Memorial Hospital following a long illness. She was born 8/16/1941 in Rochester and had lived in this area over 40 years.
Sandi was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Kendall, a member and volunteer for Literacy Volunteers and had been a volunteer for People Promoting Hospice of Orleans County…the start-up group which helped create what is now Hospice of Orleans.
Mrs. Walton was predeceased by her husband George and her brother William McKee. She is survived by her son Allen(Misty)Cook of SC, her sister Andrea Tornabene, 4 grandchildren: Trinity Cook of Brockport, Dakota Ettinger of PA, Kevin Fisk of SC, Allison Sheppard of SC, 1 great grandson: Carson Sheppard, several nieces and nephews as well as special friends: Wendy Lang of Kendall and Sybil Reisch of Hamlin.
There will be no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend Sandi’s Memorial Service SATURDAY 5/23/15 in Concordia Lutheran Church-Kendall beginning at 2 pm. Interment will be held at a later date in Sandy Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Church or Hospice of Orleans. Sandi’s family is in the care of Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc.
