•Strong, Robert K., Hilton: Age 92. Passed away peacefully on Sept. 15 after a long illness. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 49 years, Betty (Byrnes) Strong. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Strong, of Penfield, his brother, Charles, and nieces and nephews. He is also survived by many dear friends, including his Dunbar Rd. neighbors, especially Dick Lippincott, John Stanton and Art and Monica Cosgrove. He cherished their friendship. Bob was highly decorated for his service in the South Pacific in the Army Air Corps during WW II. He was a graduate of John Marshall High School and the University of Rochester. He retired from Kodak after 42 years of service. Bob will be remembered for his generosity and his passion for serving his church and his community. He was an avid fisherman who enjoyed fishing on Lake Ontario and the Georgian Bay. His daughter wishes to express her sincere gratitude to his caregivers, especially Sharon Smith, Louise Joseph and the staff in the Green Unit at Heather Heights. Your loving care kept him safe and comfortable during his final years.
No prior calling. A memorial service will be held at St. George’s Church, 635 Wilder Rd, Hilton, NY on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 11 AM. Reception following. Interment will be private.
