Eleanor Kay Johnson
•Johnson, Eleanor Kay, Greece: Eleanor Kay Johnson, born at home in Williamsville, NY in 1921, died at home of natural causes in Greece, NY on February 6, 2016. In 1941 she married George Arthur Johnson. After his service in WWII they moved to Eldred, PA and eventually to Rochester where he found employment with Eastman Kodak Company. George died in 1971.
She is survived by three sons, Mark (Mary) of Stony Point, NY, Kirk (Sandy Spezzano) of Pownal, ME and Brian (Shay) of Sanford, FL; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and one brother David Siegel of Gates, NY. She was pre-deceased by a second brother, Ralph Siegel of Utica, NY.
Eleanor remained active through her 94th year, driving herself to exercise at the Greece YMCA, occasional reunions with co-workers from J.C. Penney and to her church. She was a voracious reader and doted on family throughout her life.
There will be a service at Bethany Presbyterian Church, 3000 Dewey Avenue, Greece NY at 4:00 pm on Saturday, February 13. The family suggests in lieu of flowers gifts to Bethany Presbyterian Church or the American Kidney Foundation.
