•Burger, Geraldine S. “Jerry”, Chili: Geraldine S. Burger was born in Batavia, NY April 11, 1923 and passed away quitely, at Strong Memorial Hospital on Thursday February 25, 2016 at the age of 92. Jerry was predeceased by her mother, Josephine Spicer and her husband of 68 years, Frederick R. Burger. She is survived by 2 sons, Christopher and Theodore Burger and 1 grandson. After graduating from Batavia High School, Jerry moved to Rochester, NY and pursued her passion of dancing, becoming an Arthur Murray dancer instructor.
Once when WWII was over she joined her soon to be husband Frederick at the University of Notre Dame. They were married in South Bend, IN August 30, 1947.
Not only enjoying being a loving wife and mother, she was also an avid golfer, along with her husband. They belonged to Brook- Lea Country Club for over 60 years. There she made many lasting friendships.
There will be no visiting hours, since she requested a private Interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , one of her many favorite charities.
