Greece, NY: On July 19, 2016, at the age of 90 years. Predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Sonia A. Jones. Survived by his daughters, Bonnie (Robert) Bohme of Rochester, NY and Sally (Carl) Zuponcic of Plano, TX; grandson, LT Jeffrey Bohme of New Haven, CT and his nephew, Robert Angstadt of Atlanta, GA.
Born in Columbia, SC, Bill was a graduate of the United States Naval Academy (’48A) and a proud Navy veteran who served our country during the Korean Conflict. After his Navy service, Bill enjoyed a long and successful career at Eastman Kodak company, retiring in 1983.
During his life Bill enjoyed photography, all kinds of music from big bands to bagpipes to calypso, vacations on the beach, and many cruises with Sonia in their retirement years. His greatest love was for his family.
The family would like to thank the staffs of River Edge Manor and URMC for their exceptional care. A special thanks to Lucy Merlo for her friendship and years of care. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
A private celebration of his life will be held at a future date in his home state of South Carolina.
