Leo M. Lynch
Chili/Churchville: Churchville Family Patriarch

Leo was born on January 14, 1924 in Waverly, NY. He was the fifth of eight children born to Leo P. and Frances Walsh Lynch.
In 1944, he married Anita J. Brougham of Sayre, PA and they began a family that would eventually grow to twelve children.
In 1950 the family moved to Churchville, NY and grew to be the largest in the area. From 1950 until June 2016 there was at least one Lynch child or grandchild in the Churchville-Chili Schools. That is 66 continuous years. Everyone seemed to know at least some of the Churchville Lynches.
Leo was predeceased by wife, Anita, in 1998 and infant son, Joseph, in 1959.
Survived by wife, Millie Lang-Lynch, whom he married in 2008; children: David (Kathleen Church) Lynch; JP (former wife Helen Wojtal) Lynch; Thomas (Peggy Boss) Lynch; Kathleen Petrillo (William, d. 2010); Mary Ellen (Gordy) Stocks; John (Judy Cromwell) Lynch; Maggi (Vincent) Masci; Leo (Meg Steele) Lynch; Christine Lynch; Gerry (Rosemary Servas) Lynch; & Ann (David) Allen; 32 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Oliver of Saranac Lake; brother William Lynch of Syracuse, and sister, Monica Rogerson of New Paltz; many nieces & nephews and a multitude of friends. Papa Leo was also a loving step-parent and step-grandparent to the Lang Family.
Family was always at the center of Leo’s life and that heritage has been passed on. He left a wonderful legacy that his family will forever cherish.
