HOWARD, NY: Mairi Joy Stewart, infant daughter of Daniel and Hannah (Woodard) Stewart, passed away Tuesday (August 23, 2016) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester following a brief illness.
In addition to her parents, Mairi is survived by her maternal grandparents: Jonathan and Kym Woodard of Spencerport, paternal grandparents: David and Kathy Stewart of Howard, maternal great grandparents: Brenon and Bonita Caton and Stuart and Joanne Woodard all of Spencerport, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mairi Joy was full of life and love and brought such joy to her parents and family. She will always be remembered for her precious, beautiful blue eyes, her engaging smile and her sweet spirit. She loved the outdoors, flowers, plants, animals, walks, water, music, and her family. She was a miracle baby and her family is grateful for the gift of a beautiful year together. Mairi will be forever in the hearts of those who love her so dearly and miss her beyond words.
A memorial service was held Sunday, August 28 at 3:00 pm at the New Hope Wesleyan Church, in Hornell, with Pastor Douglas Jones officiating.
Memorial contributions in Mairi’s name may be made to the Golisano Children’s Hospital, 601 Elmwood Avenue, Rochester, N.Y. 14642.
