N. Chili: Passed peacefully on September 7, 2016 at age 102. Predeceased by her beloved husband, William Francis “Uncle Fran” Sherry; sister, Elizabeth Boehm; cousins, Loretta Mannella, Marion Sheldon and Mildred Cook, held dear as sisters; numerous members of her extended Sherry family and most recently and later in life, by her dear friend and companion Harry Miller. Mary is survived by her nephew, Robert Boehm and wife Catherine, their daughters, Allison Boehm & Kristen Collins; granddaughters, Grace & Audrey Hatch; cousins, Donna Mannella & Linda Reed; many nieces and nephews from Sherry family; “nieces & nephews” from numerous family, friends, co-workers and acquaintances adopted over a blessed lifetime by “Aunt Kay.”
In her earlier life she was employed for many years in retail sales. She has always been extremely active in church-related functions. She was a lifelong hobbyist and craftsperson with a cherished collection of salt and pepper shakers and Christmas Village ornaments. She always took great pride and care in baking the most ornate and creative cakes for family and friends on all occasions. She loved all children, providing childcare for many who again, became like her own. She has always been a deeply religious woman whose love for all came back to her many times over and with such giving and receiving of love, she will be dearly missed by all. Mary’s visitation will be held 3-7 PM on Monday at Walker Brothers Funeral Home, 15 West Avenue, Spencerport, NY. Her funeral mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM on Tuesday at St. Christopher’s Church, 350 Union St., N. Chili. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Westwood Commons, 50 Union Square, N. Chili New York 14514 in Mary’s memory.
