James E. Foote died unexpectedly October 31st at age 65. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ann; daughters, Ruby and Zoe; brother Dan; and sister Sue. Early in his career, as a member of the Musicians’ Union, he toured the country with several bands, always returning to NYC where he worked as a recording engineer and master craftsman. As the founder of Village Music in Brockport, Jim was a staple in his community. He taught lessons and played for community events, his favorite achievement was the development of “Sunday Sessions.” He wanted to provide a space for people of all ages and types to come together to share their love of music.
