Chili, NY: Passed away peacefully on Thurs. June 8, 2017 at the age of 76 at Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in Rochester, NY.
Maria was born in Randazzo, Italy. She married Nicolo in September 1959. They raised their family in Liverpool, NY. They moved to Rochester in 2006 and became members of the Italian American Community Center where they made many cherished friendships.
Maria worked as a seamstress at The Clothing Center and JC Penney until her retirement.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Nicolo; three daughters, Nancy (Sam) D’Amico of Melbourne, Australia, Janet (Mark) Weber of Great Neck, NY and Anne (Marc) Catera of Chili, NY; and brother, Vince (Josephine) Mineo of Syracuse. A big void will be left in the hearts of her grandchildren, Michael, Nicole, Gabriella, Marco, Jarrett and Ty, as well as her many nieces and nephews both in Syracuse and in Randazzo.
The family will greet friends on Sunday from 2-5pm at Leo M. Bean Funeral Home. A mass will be held at St. Theodore Church, 168 Spencerport Road, Rochester on Monday at 11:15 am. Donations may be directed to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in her memory. The family would like to thank the staff at Hildebrandt for their loving and compassionate care.
