William A. “Bill” Stenglein
Chili: Peacefully surrounded by his family at age 88 on Wednesday, July 26, 2017. Predeceased by his sister, Ann Walch; granddaughter, McKensie and great-grandson, Casey. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Carol (Simmons); his children, Cathy (Tom) Bruckman, Jean (Jeff) Mee, William (Denise), James (Colleen) & Rita (Mike) Wasylko; his grandchildren, Jessica, Jeff, Andy, Josh, Greg, Katie, Cory, Shealyn, Hannah, Janelle, Maggie, Liam, Jack, Grace, Sophia, Michael & Laryssa; 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond (Jane); sisters-in-law, Helen, MaryPat and Peg (Tom); many nieces, nephews and cherished friends. Bill was a graduate of Aquinas Institute and RIT. He was a retiree of Bausch & Lomb, a Korean War Army Veteran and shared his love of camping and hunting with his family and friends.
Friends may call at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home, Tuesday, 4-7 PM. Funeral Mass, Wednesday, 9:30 AM at St. Pius Tenth Church, 3000 Chili Ave. Interment, Grove Place Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or St. Pius Tenth Church (Building Fund).
