Greece, NY – Passed away on March 23, 2018, at age 89. She was predeceased in July 2015 by her tremendously loyal and devoted husband of 66 years, Fred Strauss; also by her parents, Henry and Loretta (Mahns) Helfer and siblings, Delbert, Donald and Gail (Shearer). She is survived by many nieces and nephews spanning over three generations. Marcia was a long-time member of Ridgemont Country Club and together with her beloved husband, a dedicated supporter of many other community organizations.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on April 4, 10:00AM at St. John the Evangelist Church (2400 W. Ridge Rd., Greece, NY). Entombment will be at White Haven Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Resident Council of the Edna Tina Living Center, 700 Island Cottage Road, Rochester, NY 14612 to the attention of Marizela Mehanovic.
