Brockport – Passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday January 12, 2019 at the age of 85. Predeceased by her husband LaVerne and partner Bob Griffiths. She is survived by her sons Guy (Lynn) Johnson of Elmira, OR, and Brant (Jeanne) Johnson of Spencerport, NY, grandchildren Melinda Johnson, Phillip (Sarah) Johnson, Sage Johnson and Kristina Johnson, great grandchildren William and Damian Johnson.
Peggy was an accomplished pianist. She was a Music Teacher for the Brockport High School, the former Choir Director at the Brockport First Baptist Church where she has been a member for 55 years. She was an Exchange Student Coordinator for many years and a Spencerport Garden Club Member. Her hobbies included accompanist, reading, gardening, traveling, attending concerts and art exhibits, and cooking.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 19th at 2 pm at the Brockport First Baptist Church, 124 Main Street. As an expression of sympathy, those wishing may contribute to the Brockport First Baptist Church in Peggy’s memory. Arrangement entrusted to the Fowler Funeral Home Inc.
