Brockport/Hamlin – Went Home to the Lord suddenly January 15, 2020 at age 81. Predeceased by her mother and father, Marietta (MacIntyre) and Howard Nichols and her brother Larry. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert “Tonto”, daughters Tammy (Joe Palermo) and Bobbi, grandson Derek, brother Ed as well as many nieces, nephews,and cousins.
Barb was a 30 year employee of General Electric in Brockport then worked at BOCES 2 and Kodak. She served in many capacities after her retirement and was a faithful member of Clarkson Community Church before joining Grace Baptist Church in Brockport. She enjoyed her involvement in choir, pianist, GE Quarter Century Club, Hamlin Seniors, Board of Elections Pollworker, book club, a proctor for NYS EMT exams, a certified Braille translator, Notary Public, completed the Monroe County Sheriff’s Senior Citizen Academy, donated gallons of blood to the Red Cross, and rang the Salvation Army bell every Christmas.
Friends and family are invited to Grace Baptist Church 5220 Lake Road South, Brockport on Monday January 20 from 1-5 calling hours with a memorial service at 6. Private internment.
