North Chili – July 5, 2020, at age 99, went home to be with his Lord and Savior. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Vera. Survived by his children, Karen (Brian) Schankat and Dan (Nancy) Glasow; 3 grandchildren, Ethan, Tim and Sarah; and many nephews and nieces and his church family at Faith Baptist Church.
George was a WWII Army Veteran, serving in France and Belgium with Company B of the 103rd Medical Battalion. He was a graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College and retired from Eastman Kodak after 27 years in Finance at the Research Labs.
Our family thanks “Days Companion Service for Seniors” for the loving care bestowed on our Dad.
A private family service was held at East Bloomfield Cemetery on Thursday, July 9th. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 2954 S. Union St., Rochester, NY 14624 or Honor Flight honoring our American Veterans.
