John M. Murphy “Jack”
Chili – Monday, November 16, 2020 at age 93. Predeceased by his loving wife, Helen; son, Daniel; daughter-in-law, Debra; and sister, Ruth Lintemoot. Survived by his children, Jackie (Bob) Weidman, Michael (Janet), Brian and Ann (Tom) Kennedy; grandchildren, Jennifer, Suzanne, Mark, Raina, Jared, Ivan, Matthew, Kristin, Tricia (Tom), Shawn, Patrick, Christopher, Nicholas and Marissa; 11 great-grandchildren; special family, Beth, Amy and Jake; sister-in-law, Joanne Walsh; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Jack was a longtime Dutchtown resident, a WWII Navy Veteran, a retired Lieutenant of the City of Rochester Fire Department and Monroe County Fire Coordinator. For over 30 years he loved playing Santa for the special children at the School of the Holy Childhood. He will always be “The Murph”.
Friends may call at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home Friday 4-7PM. Private funeral mass and interment at Grove Place Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the School of the Holy Childhood.
