Gates – Friday, January 1, 2021 at age 95. Predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Genevieve. Survived by children, Gary, Gail and Gregg (Deborah)Tregea; grandchildren, Richard Armstrong, Gerald II (Jessica), Erica, Deborah and Paige Tregea, David and Rachel Snow, Samuel and Daniel Tregea; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Janet Herman; many beloved nieces and nephews.
Gerald was a World War II Veteran, serving in the Army Air Corps, attached to a B-29 bomb group.
The family would like to thank the staff at Unity Hospital for the care they provided in his final two weeks. The family also wants to thank, with all their hearts, the exceptional people at the Legacy at Maiden Park, where he happily resided for the past 18 months.
Friends may call at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home, Wed 4-7. Private service and interment at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Heart Foundation.
