Chili – 8/4/1933 – 1/18/2021. Ike was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Marlene. He is survived by his children, Douglas Eisenschmid and Debra (Christopher) Kuter; 3 grandchildren that he adored, Benham Eisenschmid, Daniel (Samantha) Kuter and Olivia Marlene Kuter; one brother; and several nieces and friends.
Ike was a Korean War Army Veteran and a proud member of the 1830 Legion of Chili. His Legion friends and Friday night crew were a second family to him. Dad’s cottage at Port Bay was his happy place. Clam bakes, gathering of neighbors and guitar playing with the family were a few of the many things he loved about the cottage. Ike enjoyed playing Euchre at the Senior Center and with anyone else that wanted to lose to him. Above all, his family meant everything to him. He was a fantastic father, grandfather and human being.
Private service and interment at the convenience of the family. A celebration of Ike’s life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of a donation, do an act of kindness, thank a veteran and please wear a mask.
