Gates – Saturday, February 13, 2021 at age 83. Predeceased by his brothers, William and Richard. Survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Pat; children, Lisa Hochreiter, Steven G. (Terri) Behrens, Traci (Bill) Harasymchuk and Colleen Ranke; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Mary Byers, Dorothy (Bob) O’Lear and Christine Balka; several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
George was a veteran of the US Navy and a retiree of the Federal Aviation Administration. He was a member of the Toast Masters, a member of Huggers Ski Club and a member of the Chorus of the Erie Canal.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs at Highland Hospital and Strong Memorial Hospital for their wonderful care.
Friends may call at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home Thursday from 3-6PM. Funeral Mass Friday 10AM at the Parish of the Holy Family, 4100 Lyell Rd. Rochester, NY 14606. Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
