Rochester – Father Frederick F. Eisemann, a priest of the Diocese of Rochester for nearly 68 years, died March 11, 2021, at St. Ann’s Home in Rochester. He was 93 years old.
A native of Rochester, Father Eisemann was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Anna (Pfrang) Eisemann. He entered St. Andrew’s Seminary and then St. Bernard’s Seminary before being ordained on June 6, 1953, by Bishop James E. Kearney at Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Father Eisemann served at St. Alphonsus, Auburn, St. Bernard’s Seminary, Ss. Peter and Paul, Rochester, Our Mother of Sorrows, Greece, Holy Family Parish, Rochester, and since 1990 offered priestly ministry at Holy Cross Parish, Charlotte.
Father Eisemann will lie in state at Holy Cross Parish, 4492 Lake Avenue, Rochester, 14612, on Monday, March 15th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, March 16th at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross Church, with Bishop Salvatore R. Matano as the principal celebrant. His Funeral Mass will also be live streamed at https://holycrossrochester.org. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Father Eisemann’s memory to Holy Cross Parish.
