Brockport – Passed away on April 3, 2021 after a long illness. Dr. Sommer was a Professor Emeritus at the SUNY College of Brockport. His passions in life were Math, Stamps, and Model trains. His family was his most important treasure. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Mary Sommer. He is survived by his loving wife, Pat Powers, children Charles, Mary, John and Heidi Sommer; sisters Nora (Frank) Parisi and Patricia Sommer; nine nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary church in Brockport at 11:00 AM Saturday May 22nd.
