Penfield – Ellen passed away peacefully on April 11, 2021 at Penfield Place at the age of 90.
Predeceased by her husband, Victor; mother, Erna Knoblauch; father, Herbert Apel; and step-mother, Gertrude Apel. Survived by her children, Raymond (David White), David and John (Lisa); grandchildren, Michael and Colin.
Born in Berlin, Germany in 1931, Ellen married Victor, a US serviceman from Rochester in 1955. Ellen became a US citizen in 1971. She was a longtime resident of Chili and a member of St. Pius Tenth Church.

Friends may call Thursday 4-7PM at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral Service Friday 10AM at the funeral home. Interment, St. Pius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Stroke Associationor the Alzheimer’s Association.
