Rochester – On Wednesday, June 30, 2021, June Gmelin Stohr, loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away at Strong Memorial Hospital. She was 91.
June was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Frederick Stohr. She is survived by her children, Susan (Craig), Jim (Cathy), and Tricia (Ed), six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, beloved brothers Bob (Donna) and Tom, sister Ann Marie (Kevin), sister-in-law Anne Gmelin. Having made her home for nearly eight years at St. John’s Home, she considered many of the nurses, aides, staff, and residents her extended family.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 24, 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Church, 534 Oxford St, Rochester. The family will receive friends outside the church before the service, at 9:30 am. A private interment will follow.
