Hilton – Michael “Moose” Arthur Verney, passed peacefully from this life on October 21, 2020. He was born March 29, 1960 in Brockport, NY. He was a proud United States Marine.
Following his service, he operated as a long haul and hazmat truck driver, yard foreman, dump truck driver, and newspaper delivery driver. He retired July, 2020 in Venice Florida.
Michael is predeceased by his parents, George R. “GR” & Judith (LaBaie) Verney.
He is survived by his brothers, Christopher G. of Sarasota, Florida & Timothy R. (Michele Lee) of Hillsboro, Oregon; nephews, Benjamin & Will; nieces, Emma & Taylor; and cousins in and around Upstate New York, Ohio and Ontario, Canada.
A Memorial Celebration of Life Service and fellowship for family and friends will be held at Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Ave., Hilton, NY 14468 on Saturday, July 24th starting at 1 pm. Interment will follow in Parma Union Cemetery where there will be a Military Honor Guard, rifle salute and flag presentation.
