Spencerport – Spencerport: Bill was taken from us on May 25th, 2021. He is the beloved father to his only son, William “Billy” (Amanda) Mason and devoted grandfather to his grandchildren, William “Liam” Mason, Cameron Mason, Anthony Mitchel, Maryellen Mitchel and Noelle Mitchel; loving brother to his siblings, Constance Mason, Susan (Dan) Hickey, Michelle (John) Soldi, Harry “Stevie” (Patricia) Mason, Troy Mason and Daniel (Alex) Mason; loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife whom he adored, Maryellen (Coffey) Mason; his father, William Charles Mason Sr. and mother, Elaine (Farley) Mason.
Bill was one of seven children and lived his entire life in Spencerport NY. He graduated from Spencerport HS in 1971, where he was a dominate three sport athlete. Bill was known for his loyalty to his family and his work ethic. He could never sit still, especially if there was a project to do. He always helped his family and took pride in taking care of his home.
Bill devoted his life to making sure Billy was taken care of and supported him in all of his endeavors. He was so proud of his son and could not wait to move in with him and his wife to help raise his grandsons. To say he will be greatly missed is an understatement. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 15 West Ave, Spencerport, NY 14559 on Saturday July 24th, 2021 from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Interment will be private.
Donations can be directed to the Spencerport Volunteer Fire Department or the Monroe County Sheriff Office’s victim assistance program in his memory.
