Rev. Paul (Donald) J. Osborne (O.F.M.) passed away December 26, 2021 in Butler, New Jersey after a long illness. He was a professed Franciscan Friar for 63 years. He was a resident of St. Anthony Friary in Butler, New Jersey at the time of his death. After ordination in 1964, Father Paul chose to volunteer to serve in the Brazilian missions. He returned to the states in 1984 only to once more volunteer to join the missions in Nairobi, Kenya until he returned to the the states to work in parishes in southern New York and in the Albany region.
Father Paul was predeceased by his parents Herbert and Margaret Osborne of Churchville, New York. He is survived by his sister Mary M. Alfieri (Anthony), niece Rebecca Stock (William) of Arizona, nephew Paul Alfieri of Churchville, New York, and Paul’s children Morgan and Nathan Alfieri of Churchville, New York.
A funeral mass in celebration of his life was held in Butler, New Jersey. Burial at the St. Anthony’s cemetery followed the mass.
