Chili – Died peacefully surrounded by his family on January 16, 2022 at age 92. Predeceased by his wife, Ann, the love of his life for 61 years; and sister, Mary Dedie. George was a devoted family man who is survived by his children, John (Patricia Nowakowski) of MD, Mary Ellen (Kevin) Higgins of Rochester, James (Sheila Vaughan) of VA and Mark (Kerry) of Rochester; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephew, nieces and lifelong friends.
George worked at the Abex Corporation until 1985 where he was the Purchasing Manager for the Rochester and Medina plants. He retired from the workplace in 1992. He was a role model to the family for hard work, faith, honesty and integrity which is why he joined the Aching Arms Group at St. Pius Tenth Church in 1966. George is now rejoicing in the Lord’s presence.

Family and friends may call at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home Friday 2-5pm. Funeral Mass Saturday 9:30am at St. Pius Tenth Church, 3000 Chili Ave. Rochester, NY 14624. Interment, St. Pius Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Pius Tenth Church in George’s memory.
