Spencerport – Denise K. Vorbach passed away surrounded by family at her home on April 8, 2022, at the age of 60, after a brave battle with cancer. Denise was born on September 27, 1961 in Charleston, West Virginia, and was the daughter of Clinton and the late Vera Treadway. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from SUNY Cortland and a Master of Business Administration from the University at Buffalo. Denise was a Senior Budget Analyst for Toys “R” US/Kids “R” Us Worldwide in New Jersey before becoming a Business Education Teacher at Holley Central High School for 17 years.
Denise was a person of great passion that led her to develop many talents. She was a skilled pianist, artist, and painter who loved to work in her garden. Her passion for traveling led her on adventures across North America, Europe, and the Caribbean. At her side for these adventures was her husband and best friend, Edward Vorbach, with whom she shared 42 years of laughter, dancing, and walking beaches together looking for the perfect shell to remember their journey. Denise’s greatest passion was her son Kyle Vorbach. As a mother she crafted an environment of love, creativity, and joy that fostered his growth as a man and an artist. Her pride for Kyle was the light in her heart, the music in her ears, and the soul of their loving friendship.
Denise’s joyous spirit, compassion, and acts of selflessness nourished the lives of many. To her siblings she was a loyal friend, a partner in crime, and a heck of a lot of fun. To her nieces and nephews, she was creative, loving, and adventurous. She is survived by Edward and Kyle; her father, Clinton Treadway; her sister, Kristi Treadway (Jim Kayser); her brothers, Dwayne and Darren Treadway; her nieces, Morgan Kayser (Juan Almanzar) and Maya Treadway; her nephews, Dylan Treadway and Karl Stocker; as well as a broad extended family and many lifelong friends.
A celebration of life will be held at the First Congregational Church of the United Church of Christ (“The Historic White Church”) at 65 Church St. in Spencerport at 10am on Saturday, April 23rd. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Open Door Mission in Rochester NY.
