Gates – Went home to the Lord on April 27, 2022 at age 86. Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Dolores; children, Mary (Rob) Fitzgerald, Nicolea (Joseph) Cammilleri, Louise Davis Thone and Joseph II (Mary Jo); 17 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters-in law, Michael (Dorothy) Capadano, Connie Capadano and Connie Davis; several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Joe was a Korean War Army veteran and a retiree of Tobin’s Packing and Kodak.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Wilmot Cancer Center, the Strong Memorial Palliative Care Unit 412 and to the Gates Volunteer Ambulance.
No prior calling. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Joe’s life on Saturday, May 7th at 2PM at Old Paths Bible Baptist Church, 4782 Hall Rd. Holley, NY 14470. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
