On Sunday, July 3, 2022, Andrew W. Harkness passed away peacefully at the age of 88. He was born June 3, 1934 in Glens Falls, NY to Andrew A. and Eleanor Harkness. He was a graduate of Earlham College and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He moved to Rochester in 1969 where he met his beloved wife of 43 years. Andrew was a retired auditor for the state of NY. A voracious reader, who amassed quite a library including the complete works of his favorite author, Ayn Rand. He also had a passion for reading and collecting items relating to U.S. agricultural societies. Above all, he loved traveling and spending time with his family and friends. Predeceased by his wife, Mary Ellen. He is survived by his sons, Andrew and Ted (Julie); and grandson, Evan.
