Paul Guglielmi

Paul Guglielmi, age 61, died October 2, 2022 at Wilmont Cancer Center, Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY following a lengthy illness. He was born March 1, 1961 to the late Albert and late Marion (Albee) Guglielmi in Hamburg, NY.

Paul moved to Rochester, NY in 1982 to work at Kodak for 23 years as an electrical engineer. After leaving Kodak, he started a successful business in 2005, which is thriving today due to his hard work, talented innovations, and leadership skills as he gathered a dedicated team of people to serve the manufacturing industry. He also designed and developed an innovative line of products that are patented and sold worldwide.

He was an IFR pilot and a skilled craftsman who built a high performance airplane which he enjoyed flying for business and pleasure for many years. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and often participated in their Young Eagles program giving rides to kids in his airplane to encourage the next generation of aviators. Paul was a very humble and generous person with his time, as well as his resources making the world around him a better place. He was an active member of the US Parachute Association with over 600 jumps. He was also a member of the Brockport Conservation Club and shot trap.

He was an avid sportsman and loved to fly, hunt, hike, kayak, cycle, rollerblade, ride his motorcycle, ride dirt bikes and ATV’s, skydive, and shoot trap. He loved to gather with friends and family for celebrations and these activities. He especially enjoyed the last 3 years at his country home in the Town of Barre, NY surrounded by woodlands and wildlife.

Paul is survived by his life and business partner of 20 years, Diana Petranek, his son: Mark Guglielmi, brother: David Guglielmi and sister-in-law, Frances, sister: Linda Curtis, uncle: Ray Albee, several cousins, nieces, nephews, a great niece, and great nephews, along with many friends. He is predeceased by his brother: Richard Guglielmi and sister-in-law, Karen, and son: Jonathan Guglielmi.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral. His desire was for friends and family to gather for a memorial celebration of all the good times he shared with them. This celebration of Paul’s life will take place on November 12, 2022, from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Brockport Conservation Club, 291 Ladue Rd, Brockport, NY 14420.
