Passed peacefully into eternal life early Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the age of 97 ½. Al was born in Miami, Florida on March 10, 1925, to parents, Axel B and Ruth (Eakins) Anderson. He lived, until age 52, in Dade County, Florida. He then retired and brought his family north to his wife’s home town of North Chili, NY, where he resided the remainder of his life. He served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1950-1952. Upon returning from the war, he built his first home, then joined the Miami Beach Fire Department in 1955. He worked in Miami Beach until retiring in January 1977. He met his wife at Christmas 1955 and was married on October 6, 1956, in North Chili, NY. Always thankful for the way the Lord Jesus Christ had blessed him throughout his life. He is predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Mary Eleanor “Mel” Staines Anderson. He is survived by his daughter, Sondra Anderson; son, Alvin B. Anderson (Stacy); grandchildren, Ellie and Jake Anderson.
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 13, from 3-5 pm at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home. His memorial service will be held at Pearce Memorial Free Methodist Church located at 4322 Buffalo Road, North Chili, NY at 7 PM on Monday, November 14.
