Eileen Theresa Keough Barrett passed peacefully surrounded by her children on December 20th, 2022 at the age of 81.
Eileen was predeceased by her loving husband, Arthur Barrett. She is survived by her children, Mary Stamper (Scott), Mark Barrett (Amy), Colleen Tantalo (Matthew), Ray Barrett (Michelle), and Matt Barrett (Jennie); and her grandchildren, Lucy (Austin), Patrick, Ella, Emily, Daniel, Quinn, Jeremy, Rowan, Maia, Connor, Caitlin, Griffin, Declan, Isabel, Isaac.
Eileen graduated from Nazareth college with a degree in Chemistry and began working at Kodak as a chemist. She spent many years raising her family until she returned to work as a chemist at Bausch & Lomb and Monroe County. Eileen adored her grandchildren and looked after them with love and care as they grew. She loved music, dancing, birds, tutoring, and her faith. She was a devoted and lifelong member of St. Pius X Church. Her gentle and generous spirit will be missed.
Family and friends may call Tuesday 9-11am at St. Pius Tenth Church, 3000 Chili Ave. Rochester, NY 14624. Funeral Mass immediately following at 11am at the church. The family also extends an invitation to gather for a reception at the church at the completion of the Mass.
