Predeceased by his parents, Carl and Madeline; brother, Richard; and son-in-law, Gary Baird. Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Loretta; daughters, Pamela D. Baird and Leslie Dintruff; grandchildren, Owen, Madeline and Andrew Baird; sister-in-law, JoAnne (Thomas) Weaver; cousin, Ralph (Jane) Dintruff; nieces and nephews, Carol (EJ), Alison, Robert, Scott (Alison), Tuck (Cheri), Jeff (Ruth), Julie, Jeffrey (Gwen), Andrea, Katie (CJ), Joseph (Bess), Alex, Jack, Sam, Dakota, Dylan and Savannah; dear friends and beloved dogs, Jake and Charlie.
Tom grew up in Chili and went to West High School, followed by the University of Rochester, where he was an athlete and proud brother of the Psi Upsilon Fraternity. He owned and operated Genesee Explosive Sales. He became an avid runner in 10k races in his 40’s and was a lifelong hunter, avid reader and lover of classical music.
Family and friends may call at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home Thursday 4-7pm. Funeral Mass Friday 10am at St. Martin de Porres Parish at St. Columba Church, 198 North St. Caledonia, NY 14423. Private interment, Grove Place Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
