Passed away peacefully March 14, 2023 at the age of 90. Born on July 30, 1932 in Ridgeway, NY to Mildred (Dunn) and William J. Wood.
Predeceased by his wife, Laurita (Helfer); brothers, Wilbur, Leonard & Gerard; sisters, Mildred, Doris, June, & Kathleen. Survived by his companion, Joann Schlieter; brother, Wayne (Sharon) Wood; sister, Armetia Martindale; children, Glenn (Kathryn) Wood, Laurie (Bernie) Erbland, & Linda (David) Reagan; grandchildren & great-grandchildren, Audrey (Jeremy), Liam, & Zach Toeper; James (Kelli), Caleb, & Brynn Erbland; Rebecca (Anthony), Ella, & Cameron Cucit; Lisa (Brent), Joziah, Edyn, & Jael Roberts.
Woody served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He retired after 39 years from Frontier Communications as a project engineer. After retiring he volunteered installing home health units for Unity Hospital. Contributions can be made to Honor Flight in his honor. A Graveside Service will be held in the spring.
