Kenneth B. Preston “Ken” passed away on June 7, 2023 at the age of 78.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna Carter Preston; his children, Tammy (Jeffrey) Branagan and Todd (Jane Ellen) Preston; his grandchildren, Lauren and Alan Branagan and Natalie, Jack and Luke Preston; his brother, Eugene Preston; his brother-in-law, William (Donna) Carter; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Kenneth was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Adrianne Preston and by his brother, Edward Preston.
Ken was retired from Eastman Kodak where he was a Department Manager. He was Past President of the North Greece Fire Department with over 60 years of active service in the department; He was also Past President of the Association of Fire Districts of NYS; Past President of the Monroe County Fire District Officers Association; Past President of the North Greece Exempts; and a North Greece Fire Department Commissioner for 32 years. He was a faith filled Catholic. In his leisure he enjoyed playing golf and hunting. He will be greatly missed by his family, his North Greece Fire Department family, and his many friends.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 9:00 pm at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Avenue, Hilton. Ken’s Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at 10:30 am at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church, 5000 Mt Read Blvd, Rochester, NY 14612. Interment in Parma Union Cemetery.
