Passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at the age of 72, at Highland Hospital, Rochester, New York. His unexpected death resulted from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. Born in Baltimore on May 22, 1952, to Merryl King and Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Gorman Drinkwater, Glenn grew up in Lutherville-Timonium, MD. He became a Baha’i at sixteen, graduated from Dulaney High School in 1970, and studied drama at West Virginia University. At the time of his death, Glenn lived with his wife, Cilla Shaw Drinkwater, and granddaughter Gloria Grattan in Brockport, New York. In addition, Glenn is survived by two brothers, Bruce and Jeffrey, and three children, Joshua, Zebediah and Shane Drinkwater. His family also includes Cilla’s daughters, Molly, Alice and Claire Grattan and six grandchildren. A memorial celebration for Glenn will be held at a later date.
