Carole A. Brodie

Carole A. Brodie, the beloved wife of 40 years of David Brodie, went to rest in the arms of God after passing peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on September 16, 2025 at the age of 75. 

She is survived by her husband, David; her children, Michael (Ereka) Dabolt, Shawn (Jessica Nichols) Dabolt, and Angela Brodie; her grandchildren, Maggie Culmone, Mollie (Justin) Recktenwald, Chris Bassett, Maria (Blake Turner) Dabolt, Courtney (Reed) Scola, Tristen (Dani) Dabolt, Sawyer Nichols, and Liam Dabolt; her great-grandchildren, Quinn, Charlie, Bella, Maycee, Zoey, Ryker, and Krew; her siblings, Giles “Jim” (Barbara) Zubler, John (Sharon) Zubler, and Molly Rowley; and her nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Giles and Helen Zubler; her sister, Mary Ellen Dabolt; and her brother-in-law, Thomas Rowley. 

Carole was a proud graduate of Bishop O’Hern High School in Buffalo, New York. In her early career, she served as an Executive Secretary for Harris Corporation, where her professionalism and dedication were deeply valued. A devout Catholic throughout her life, Carole was a faithful member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church.

She found great joy in caring for her home and family, always maintaining a warm and welcoming space filled with love. Carole loved adventure – she traveled extensively, enjoying nearly 20 cruises, and found delight in activities such as working out, playing Euchre, visiting casinos, and spending time at the horse track.  

Family and friends are invited to attend Carole’s Memorial Mass on Monday, October 20, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 110 Old Hojack Lane, Hilton, NY 14468. There will be a gathering at Milling Station Tap and Table, 50 Canning Street, Hilton following the Mass. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
