Robert E. (Bob) Cole of Hilton, graduated from this life on 9/20/2025 at the age of 85.
He was born to the late William B. and Zula (Bamford) Cole on June 4, 1940, in Blairsville, Pa. After graduation from Bucknell University in 1962 he went to work for the original Eastman Kodak and married the love of his life, Faye Ruth Schrock. They had three children; Roger (Kim) Cole, Wendy (Scott) Shust, and Jennifer (Greg) Ophardt, who gave them six grandchildren; Cam Shust, Trevor (Brittany) Ott, Taylor (Derek) Marshall, Randy Cole (Emma Randolph), Sabrina Shust, and Courtney Ophardt (Nick Clark); and five great-grandchildren, Madelyn Rose, Lainey Mae, Ryan John Ott, Avianna Lee, and Emilia Harper. Bob was a mechanical engineer for 29 ½ years at Kodak. After retirement he enjoyed woodworking in his backyard shop, singing in the choir, CB and Ham radio, painting, golfing and writing several published books. He provided guidance and life lessons through many words of wisdom with his friends and family. He leaves his descendants in the hands of the Lord.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, Inc., 735 East Avenue, Hilton, NY 14468, where Bob’s Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 11:00 am. Interment will immediately follow in Parma Union Cemetery.
